Italy A3 Art Print

This print comes courtesy of my queen of Italy, who sent me this video in relation to her thoughts on writing her PhD. It hit me right in the feels on my own research, but I also quite liked that it was rather appropriate for a country of soaring beauty and difficult circumstances; of beautiful people and entrenched problems.

I drew this stylised version of Italy when travelling through by train in summer of 2018, and while it has faded over time as the watercolour has quite literally seeped out of the paper, it has remained one of my favourites. Digitising it felt like something that might help to bring it - and the vibrancy and joy of those colourful journeys through the northern Italian countryside - back to life for me.
