Birds A3 Art Print

This print is the amalgamation of the products of two gifts from me and one kindly gifted to me.

The background image is of a eucalypt in sunny Perth taken on my Grandad's Nikon f1. It is one of the most precious gifts I will potentially ever receive.

The lorikeet to the left was drawn for a friend of mine who moved into my old building and would collect the tiny colourful feathers dropped by the loris on the driveway. I drew this for her as a welcome gift and included a feather amongst the wing when I framed it.

The kookaburra and kingfisher, meanwhile, were drawn for my dad's birthday one year. It felt like a fitting tribute to his life crossing the oceans from one habitat to another: a migration of sound, colour, and flight as much as experience.
